Images of Lego Video - I took shots of the video at different times. I took these because They showed the development of it. I like how the video is progressing.

I think so far the video is coming along great. I like how the shots are, I think it could improve by not being as less jumpy. But I like the effect of it being like that non the less.

Images in I-Stop Motion - I took these when I was creating the video. I had it all set up and I wanted to take screenshots to document of what was going on and how I created my movie from the beginning.

The Target audience for my video will be aimed at probably a younger generation because of the way I have created this video - which is a lego animation, I hope this is a different way to show bullying and is easier to watch rather than watching graphic images or stories about the topic I have chosen. I like the way I have used lego because it shows a different approach, which is a fun way to do but yet still shows a serious side to the video as well.

To set up this equipment, I used:

A Tripod

A Video Camera

iMac

iStop-Motion

& A Spot Light

I plugged in the Video camera into the iMac and opened iStop-Motion & selected the device and it connected them.

I then used the computer to take the shots that I wanted. For e.g. if I pressed ‘2’, two shots would be taken.

Sketch for idea - This is a sketch idea for the bullying video of what I wanted to do.

I thought about having it in a popular place like the canteen so I drew people and tables to represent this. I labelled the men as being lego men so I knew what I wanted to do.

I also thought about creating lego tables as well or using other materials instead of lego to combine in the video.  I thought about using paper and drew how I would create these paper tables in the sketch idea as well.

I also created a few other sketches for some other Ideas I thought of but for a Time Lapse I thought embedding videos on the theme Would be good enough as there is not much to really sketch.

Anti-Bullying Lego Animation Video

I chose this video because it was a video to base my ideas that I had brainstormed on.

I like the theme of bullying and thought I could use the idea as a theme for my own.

After researching into lego animations and stop-motion techniques I decided to create my own storyboard of what I would do, and Plan out my video.

I think that I will research into bullying some more before I choose what Idea I am going to continue with.

Lego - Video. I took this video because it was lego created arcade games. It gave me a whole new idea on what to do in my lego video and topics that I could debate about. I liked this video because of the creativity in it. I also liked the different arcade games created. I think the target audience is aimed at teenagers because of the arcade games. I also think it could be adults as well as these games are classics.

Lego Video - 1800 Hours to Create. Below is the screenshot of when I searched youtube for Lego Videos to research into my idea further & to get some ideas on topics to use. I took this video because it was created professionally and I liked the outcome and how it was designed. I think the target audience is aimed at teenagers because of the content in the video. This video gave me some ideas for my own lego video because I liked how the objects were built up and then back down again.

The Black Hole on Youtube. - Longer Version.

How long is the sequence?

1 Minute Long

How many separate shots are in it?

about 11 different shots are in the short film.

Individual shots:

Panning close up.

High Angle

Close Up

High Angle

Straight On

Profile - Sideways

Low Angle

3/4 Shot

Single

Zoom

Static Shot

Why has the shot been filmed in this way?

I think it has been shot in this way because these angles are the most effective. There are a lot of angles in this video and I think it is needed because of how much goes on in it. The camera position is always in a good place and keeps the video interesting by the different shots.

What does it tell us about?

- It tells us about the character in the film & what the person is like. It shows his boring job and how his Greed gets the better of him when he finds a black hole.

-  The setting tells us that it is a dull work place, and isn’t very interesting.

- The story tells us about how greed gets the better of a office worker.

How are the shots connected together?

- The editing is quite face, there are a lot of different shots and angles.

- The shots are joined together by a lot of cuts.

Effects, Are there any special effects?

There is a lot of special effects because of the black hole, and it works.

Titles & Text Are there any words on the screen?

Yes there is a title at the start of the video “The Black Hole”

Sound

The sound on this video is just typical effects.

The sound of the photocopier and the sound the black hole makes then he enters it everytime.

If I just heard the soundtrack first, I would expect to see some office themed video because of the Photocopier.

There were no voices in this video. Just sound effects.

Characters

- He’s wearing a shirt, tie and trousers

- He is quite tall and thin.

- No speaking.

- They are photocopying at the beginning.

- No other people in the video.

- They are in some kind of office.
